The EC Community …
Not only is this one pillar of our school, I believe that “community” sums up the academic life here at Elyria Catholic. We, administrators, faculty, staff, students, parents, embellish the concept of “community” on a daily basis.
As a team, our administrators and the guidance department, continuously evaluate our curriculum and implement new and challenging classes to prepare our students not only to succeed in college, but to succeed in life. We are truly blessed to have dedicated teachers who encourage each student to achieve their academic goals by implementing a variety of teaching strategies, the creative use of technology and assisting students in after school study sessions.
As the parent of an EC alumni (Megan Hurst ‘05), I know from first hand experience that our students not only set high academic standards for themselves, they are more than willing to “go the extra mile” and help their classmates. I am very proud of the fact that our students show “community“ on a daily basis. Students are also very fortunate in that their parents/families not only support them financially, but are emotionally and physically invested in the EC community.
I am confident that by working together, Elyria Catholic will continue to be a school of not only academic excellence, but a valuable stepping stone for our students to become active and productive members of society.
I hope you enjoy browsing through the curriculum section of this website.
