CAMPUS MINISTRY

As Campus Ministers, Deacon Pat and Mr. Robinson focus on maintaining a Eucharistic centered faith community among the students and faculty at Elyria Catholic.  Working closely with the "Peer Ministry" team (student spiritual leaders of the school), they ensure that every student has opportunities to "Live the Gospel Message" through prayer, retreats, and reconciliation, as well as social justice initiatives and community outreach activities.

Deacon Pat has been ministering to teens in the parish and school environment for over 28 years.  He has directed hundreds of retreat experiences of all kinds including pilgrimages, and taking a team of teens to Colorado for World Youth Day, joining almost 500,000 other teens.  He was also blessed to Deacon for Pope John Paul II at the closing liturgy.

Deacon Humphrey's primary focus is ministering to teens but is also very active in other forms of sacramental ministry including marriage preparation, Confirmation formation, RCIA presentations and is a regular Adult Religious Education presentor.

Mr. Robinson has been invloved in youth ministry for over 13 years in both a parish and school environment.  He is a recipient of the "For God and For Youth" award, honoring outstanding Christian service, Catholic leadership and high moral standards by the Cleveland Diocese.  Dean has served as a leader of countless service projects and several mission trips, as well as taking groups of students to the National Catholic Youth Conferences.

Outside of Elyria Catholic, Mr. Robinson serves as the Youth Minister for Holy Spirit Parish in Avon Lake and St. Teresa of Avila Parish in Sheffield Lake.  He continues to direct "The Living Stations of the Cross", which is a production that sees high school students travel, each year, around the Diocese of Cleveland to present this "prayer experience".  For the past 15 years, this production has been seen by thousands of people, with over 1,500 DVD copies sold.  Dean is frequently asked to speak at various retreats and functions and is recognized for his positive influence and impact on the lives of young people by parents, teachers, priests and clergy throughout our diocese.
