Thank you for considering Elyria Catholic High School! As noted in our mission statement, “Elyria Catholic High School is a Christian community within the Catholic tradition that calls young men and women to embrace their faith, recognize their full potential and establish a life long relationship with Jesus Christ. Through worship, academics, extracurricular activities and service, the Elyria Catholic community educates students to use vision and courage to act as caring, just and responsible citizens of the world.”
Elyria Catholic High School places great emphasis on academic excellence. As a recipient of the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award, along with accreditation by the North Central Association, we continually strive to raise our standards of excellence. We recognize the value of small class sizes and the importance of the teacher/student relationship. We offer a 14 to 1 student/teacher ratio and have an average class size of 24 students per classroom. This gives our faculty the ability to provide students the individual attention they deserve.
The comprehensive curriculum at Elyria Catholic High School includes both AP and Honors courses, as well as a Learning Disabilities Program that focuses on preparing students for college. The Class of 2012 had 99% of graduates enroll in college, and was offered more than $5,894,000 in college scholarships and grants. We begin working with the students their freshmen year to prepare them for the academic opportunities that await them upon graduation from Elyria Catholic High School.
