¦¦ MODERN LANGUAGES ¦¦

Philosophy

We, the Modern Language Department at Elyria Catholic High School, believe in the importance of broadening the cultural and linguistic awareness of our students.

The study of a foreign language will liberate the Elyria Catholic student from a mono-linguistic and mono-cultural environment.

Through the development of concepts, attitudes and skills of the target language, the intellectual and social growth of the student will contribute to the building of human and Christian concerns that will lead to a more just and peace-filled world.
